Wrongly they speak about B&B and apartment for vacancy, and many owner, making the most of the confusion in this field, try to rent a B&B as an apartment or an apartment as a B&B, with grat delusion of the tourist.
It's time to define once and for all the tipologies and list the mean characteristics:

1) Bed & Breakfast

In Rome a B&B is a private apartment where one or more rooms are assigned for the tourist. The owner gived sheets, towels, cleaning of the room and bathroom, breakfast (the law doesn't allow to give cooked foods, and so the breakfast consists in ready -made foods. The staying in the bed and breakfast doesn't include the kitchen use.The owner is authorized to give only a generic receipt and not invoice or receipt for tax purposes.

2) Apartments for vacancy

For lodgings and houses for holidays it intends the staying in apartments that is entirely given to the tourist. In this case the tourist has all the comforts in the house. The sheets and towels are given on arrival. The owner cleans the apartment before the arrival; during the staying no cleaning is included in the price (an extra cleaning needs an extra price) The owner is authorized to give only a generic receipt and not invoice or receipt for tax purposes.
